Kuttalam is located between Tenkasi and Chenkota in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu India. This place is known as the health bath of the south. Located in Tirunelveli district in the foothills of the Western Ghats at an altitude of 160 meters above sea level, there are about nine waterfalls in Kuttal. All these waterfalls originate from the Potigai Hills of the Western Ghats. The nine waterfalls are Peraravi, Puliyaravi, Palayaruvi, Thenaruvi, Chempaka Devi, Old Kuttalam, Aintheruvi, Pazhathota Aruvi and Chitaruvi. Among them, Peraravi, Aintaruvi and Puli aruvi are the most important. Other waterfalls can be visited only with special permission. June to September is the best season to visit Kuttalam.
