Mathapp is part of the Marayur, Kanthalloor, Perumala, Mannavan Cholakudi and Anamudi Chola National Park in Idukki district. It consists of three Cholas – Anamudichola Mannavanchola, Pullardichola and Ithivarachola. The whole of Manavanchola rainforest. Mathap is composed of the Chenguevara and Kundala mandalas. There are cottages belonging to the Forest Department. Only a jeep with a Forest Permit or our vehicle with an off-road drive can go to Mathup.
