St. David is a fort situated in Kadaloor city in the Cuddalore district in Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated near Silver Beach, the longest beach in Asia. The current situation of this fort is ruined buildings and walls which are covered with forest. This fort, built-in 1660-70, is actually a historic memorial. The fort was in possession of many wars and the victorious rulers. The fort was taken over by the Maratha ruler Shivaji Jingi in 1677. It was taken by British in 1690, by the French in 1758, and again by the British in 1785 and later abandoned. Now this historic memorial is totally ruined.
