Kailasanatha Temple was built in the 7th century AD. Another feature is that they are all made of sandstone. This can not be found anywhere else. As we enter the wall full of sculptures of horses, lions and elephants, we are greeted by a colorful view of various sculptures. There are many small rooms inside the temple walls. All these are for the monks to perform penance. Most of the sculptures are of Shiva Parvati in various guises. Parshuram begging after seeing a rare sculpture. Here are a couple of paintings painted centuries ago. It is painted with fruit juice, green color and stone powder color. The temple is under the protection of the Archaeological Society of India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
