The main deity of Kadampuzha Devi temple is Goddess Parvati, Durga in the form of a huntress. There is no idol of Goddess in this temple, and she is worshipped in a pit. A separate Shiva temple exists near the temple, called ‘Madambiyarkavu’. Both these temples are under the control of Malabar Devaswom Board. One of the main offerings at Kadampuzha Temple is Muttarukkal. Muttarukkal literally means to cut away any obstacles. Unlike other temples, Kadampuzha is unique in that there are no idols for the Devi.
