Kollimala is a scenic hill station located in the Eastern Ghats, at an elevation of 1300 m above sea level. It is 65 km from Namakkal to Kollimalai. Buses are available from Salem and Namakkal to Kollimalai. From the valley known as Caravalli, take the 71 hairpin route to Kollimalai. Kollimalai is an ideal destination for adventure sports such as hiking and trekking. Kollimalai is also a good farm. Pepper and coffee are the main crops. Kollimalai is famous for its variety of floats. Lorries carry various types of chukkas to markets in Namakkal and Salem.
