Coorg is a district in the state of Karnataka. Kudak was ruled by the Halleri kings (1600-1834). Madduraja, the third of them, created Maddurajakeri by leveling the hills of North Kodagu. That city is now known as Madikeri. Those who have their own vehicle can go to Coorg with it. It is easily accessible via Thalassery and Virajpet. Or if you travel by bus, bus services are also available from Thalassery to Virajpet and Madikeri. Some important places to visit when visiting Coorg. Abbey Falls, Chiklihole Reservoir, Dubare Elephant Camp, Kotebetta Trek, Madikeri Fort, Mallalli Falls, Nalknad Aramane Palace, Padi Iggutappa Temple, Raja’s Seat, Somwarpet, Talakaveri Temple etc.
