Spread the love

Tamil Nadu, millions of women draw kolams on the ground with white rice flour. Kolams are thought to bring prosperity to homes. A Kolam is a geometrical line drawing composed of curved loops, drawn around a grid pattern of dots. In South India, it is widely practised by female Hindu family members in front of their houses. It is a beautiful and perhaps the only one art, drawn every day by women in the households. It symbolizes beauty and provides a welcoming environment. The Kolangal rangoli art is completely combination of traditional and cultural designs. You can decorate these with colors, stones, lights, flowers and rices also.
