Balaji Temple is situated amidst extensive mountain ranges and tea estates owned and managed by Peria Karamalai Tea Industries. The statue of Balaji inside the sanctum sanctorum is made of pure gold. The idols and rituals performed here are similar to the Tirupati Balaji Temple. Located just 10 km away from Valparai Bus Station, Balaji Temple is one of the important temples in Valparai of Tamil Nadu. You need to park your car at the gate at the entrance and then walk 700 to 800 m by the hillside road to reach the temple. Although the temple is not a sizeable one, the scenery of the combe and tea plantations is mesmerizing. Photography is not allowed in the temple premises. The beauty, the serene atmosphere, and the clime of the temple site nestled between picturesque hills and tea estates are really attractive. The temple is open from 6.00 am to 12.00 pm and 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
