It has been three years since the Kodanad Elephant Training Center and the first elephant camp in Kerala were closed down. The elephants and other wildlife here have now been relocated to the Kaprikkad Sanctuary on the banks of the Periyar. Here the elephants are left free, not chained. Here you can see the heroes shaking their heads slowly. There are billboards here detailing the names of the elephants and how to tame them. This gives the tourists a picture of the elephants in the sanctuary. The sanctuary is also a place where elephants from the forest are tamed. The sanctuary also has a special loan for bathing elephants. Hours: 8am to 5pm. Working days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. (Monday Holiday) .Phone Number: 09447979164.
