Charminar is the landmark of Hyderabad. It is situated on the eastern bank of Musi River in Hyderabad. Charminar is included in the Archaeological Survey of India’s list of monuments as an archaeological monuments. It is built in 1591 by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the ruler of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. Charminar is a memorial and church in Telangana. Charminar is made up of granite, limestone, mortar, and pulverized marble in Indo-Islamic architecture style. It is the center of the Hyderabad city. The holy Mecca Masjid is close to the Charminar. The amazing view of Mecca Masjid can be seen from the top of Charminar. Charminar is at the junction of the historic trade route linking the markets of Golconda with the port city of Machilipatnam. The place where Charminar located is a popular market. There were 14,000 shops in this market. Today, there are not many shops but there is always a lot of shop and the place is crowded. It is a busy market with Hyderabad amazing glass, lac bracelets, jewelry, silk, spices, perfume oil, incense, and many Irani tea stalls. It is also known for its popular local markets. It is one of the popular tourist destinations in Hyderabad. The entry fee is 10 rupees and the visiting time is from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.
