Golconda Fort
Golconda Fort is situated at a distance of 10km from Hyderabad in India. It was built by Kakatiyas in the 13th century. Later, during the ruling time of Qutb Shahi kings, the fort was enlarged with 8 gates and 86 bastions. It is one of the most famous forts in India. Due to the special ventilators fixed in this fort, it receives a cool breeze during hot weather also. The water supply system is up to the hilltop. The main attractions are palaces, bastions, water supply system, and punishment materials for offenders. The burials of Qutb Shahi is situated at a distance of 1km from the fort.
