Kalighat Kali Temple is located at a distance of 1 km from the Kalighat Metro Station on the Kolkata Metro in India. Kalighat Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Legend has it that the right toes of a Goddess fell on the banks of the river Adi Ganga where the temple is located today. Definitely a must visit on your trip to Kolkata. The temple is open to the public every day of the week from 5 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 10:30 pm.
