Kannarappalam is a beautiful bridge located in Kazhuthuruthy near Thenmala in Kollam district of Kerala, India. The Kollam-Red Fort meter gauge road passes over it. The bridge is 102 meters long and 5.2 meters high and has 13 arches. The bridge is over 100 years old and stands as a testament to British architectural prowess. It is also noteworthy that cement was not used in the construction of the bridge, which was built in the Surki style. In the old days, rail was one of the main routes for transporting spices and crops from Quilon to Madras.
