Jelliket is a festival celebrated on Mattu Pongal Day in Tamil Nadu, India. The Tamil Classic Period B, C 400 to B 100, Jellicut prevailed in Tamil Nadu. There are three types of jellyfish: Manchurattu, Staff Manchurattu and Vadam Manchurattu. Starting in January, the jellicotte will continue till June. The major centers are Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Salem, Sivaganga and Pudukottai districts. The most popular is the jellicotte held at Alakananallur village.
