From the valley known as Caravalli in Tamil Nadu, one can reach Kollimalai by taking a charming driving route via 71 Hairpin Road. Kollimala is a scenic hill station located in the Eastern Ghats. It is 65 km from Namakkal to Kollimalai. Buses are available from Salem and Namakkal to Kollimalai. Kollimalai is an ideal destination for adventure sports such as hiking and trekking. The main attractions of Kolli Hills are the Arapaleshwara Shiva Temple, which was built between the 1st and 2nd centuries AD, and the nearby Akash Ganga Falls. To reach the Akash Ganga Falls, one has to descend 1001 steps from the Arappalishyara Temple. Kollippavai Amman Temple and Murugan Temple. Other attractions include the Seekupara and Salernad viewpoints, Masila Falls, Swamipranavanda Ashram, Botanical Garden and Children’s Park.
