Aanakkatti is one among the protected areas of Kerala. It extends over the area that lies to the west of Attappadi Block in Mannarkkad Taluk of Palakkad District in Kerala, India. Siruvani River bed is seen in Aanakkatti. This place is making its debut in the tourism sector by making use of its attractions like Siruvani Waterfalls, trekking, jeep safari, etc. A natural habitat of wild elephants, this place is also blessed with lush green hills, beautiful streams, roaring waterfalls, and forests full of wild animals. It is said that the place got its name from “group of elephants” (aana/aanai means elephant). This is a spot where one can enjoy the charm of nature throughout the year.
