Chettinadu palace is the best example of Chettinadu architecture. Chettinadu Palace also known as Chettiyar Mansion is 110 yr old palace. It is located in Kanadukathan panchayath in Kaaraikudi taluk in Tamil Nadu. There are many houses built in Chettinad architecture in Kanadukathan. The main door or entrance of these houses are like temples with Majestic and intricate carvings. Chettinad Palace is the best example of the architectural style of the widespread famous palaces and mansions in Chettinad. It is built in the 1912-1914 period. The materials for the construction, furniture, and other decorative items are imported from East Asia and Europe. The pillars in the palace are all made up of Teak, Marble, and Granite. The rooms are decorated with Burmese Teak. Chettinad Palace is the perishable memorial of Chettinad architecture.
