Erumbeeswarar is a 1300 years old Temple in Thiruvemboor in Tamil Nadu, India. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The specialty of this temple is that the Shiva lingam is in the form of an ant. To commemorate the victory at the Battle of Tirupurambiyam, the Adithya Chola built this temple on a 60ft high hill on the banks of the Kaveri river. The Archaeological Survey of India declared it as a protected monument. The Lord Shiva in the mandapam at the bottom of the hill is self-sustaining. The festivals in this temple are Vaikashi, Brahmotsav, Thirukarthika. The temple timing is from 6.30 am to 12 pm and from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm.
