Chidambaram is a treasure trove of sights reminiscent of Dravidian culture. Chidambaram was the capital of the Chola dynasty. The Nataraja Temple here was built in the 10th century. The concept of Lord Shiva in the sky is one of the five demons in this temple. The present temple was built in the 10th century when Chidambaram was the capital of the Chola dynasty, making it one of the oldest surviving active temple complexes in South India. Chidambaram is the headquarters of the Annamalai University. Chidambaram is an industrial town located in the state of Tamil Nadu. Located in the Cuddalore district, this town is also famous for the Nataraja Temple.
