St. Augustine’s Church is located on a hill in Old Goa, also known as the Holy Hill in Goa, India. St. Augustine’s Church, however, is today only a tower about 46 meters high. St. Augustine’s Church, with its historical and architectural features, has always been a favorite haunt of many tourists. St. Augustine’s Church consists of four altars, eight chapels and a convent. Of the more than 20 churches that once existed in the old city of Velha Goa, only ten remain today. It is easily accessible by bus, cab and autorickshaw from places like Panaji, Vasco da Gama and Margao. Tourists camping in North Goa can get vehicles from Baga, Candolim and Calangute.
