Iravikulam National Park is a beautiful national park located in the Western Ghats in the Idukki district of Kerala. Eravikulam National Park, also known as Rajamalai National Park, was a hunting ground for British gardeners. It was owned by Rajamalai and Eravikulam during the British rule. Handed over to Krishna Devan Hills for tea garden. When it was established in 1975, the area was declared a sanctuary with the aim of protecting the natives of the Nilgiris Tahar and was later upgraded to a national park in 1978.
