Kanthalloor is a village in Idukki district in the Indian state of Kerala. The scenic scenery and the variety of tropical crops make this village a tourist destination. Kandalur is famous for a variety of crops not found in other parts of Kerala. This is the only place where apple grows in South India. Marayoor is a small village near Kandalur. Marayoor is the only place in Kerala that is home to natural sandalwood forests. Marayoor belongs to the Stone Age civilization which dates back to 10,000 BC.
