Thirumaya Fort is located at Puthukottai Thirumayi, Tamil Nadu. The Tirucchirappalli and Rameshwaram National Highway 210 passes near the Thirumaya Fort. The Fort was built by Vijay Raghunatha Sethupathi in 1687 and covers an area of 40 acres. Freedom fighter, Veerapandiya Kattabomman and his brother were hiding in Thirumayi Fort. It is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India.
