Varkala Beach is located in Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram district in Kerala. Varkala Beach is located 54 km north of Thiruvananthapuram. The hillside, which lies close to the sea, is divided into North Cliff and South Cliff. The bat is famous here. The proximity of the 2000 year old Sri Janardhanaswamy Temple makes this beach a holy place. Apart from the naturopathic center, there is also a spring with medicinal properties. Many people visit this place believing that bathing in it is sacred. The best time to visit this beach is from November to March.
