The Tamiraparani River, which originates in the lake about 40 kilometers from Tirunelveli, creates the Agasthyar Falls in the Western Ghats and the Papanasam in the South. Agasthiyar Falls is located near Papanasam in Tirunelveli district in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. You can rent an auto rickshaw from the town or travel 3 km to visit Pappanasam Falls.
