National Fossil Wood Park is a park established in 1940 on the road between Tindivanam and Pondicherry, 1 km east of Thiruvakkarai village in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu. The park is spread over 247 acres. There are about 200 fossilized trees in the park. It is maintained by the Geological Survey of India. From Pondicherry Railway Station, take the SH203 Road for 28.5 km and then turn right for about 24 km along the road parallel to the Pondicherry-Villupuram Road. Destination at 4 km. Just before reaching Thiruvakkarai village, a right turn leads to Fossil Park.
