Chembra Peak is the highest peak in Wayanad which is 2050m above sea level. It is a part of Western Ghats. It is one of a must visited place for those who love adventure and nature. It is the largest and highest peak in the Western Ghats, which is in between Neelgiri hills and Himalaya. You need to take permission from the Meppadi Forest Office to do trekking to Chembra Peak. It is a 3-hour trekking to Chembra peak. It is not an extremely difficult trekking route, so it can be done by those who are not experienced with trekking. The total trekking distance is 4.5km. Only 200 people are allowed to enter per day. Those who climb the mountain must take the pass within 1 am in the morning. The entry fee is 30 rupees, camera 40 rupees, and 750 for 10 members for the trekking.
