It is the largest rehabilitation center in the world for rehabilitation of injured and injured elephants. The center was founded in 1975. It is under the purview of the Sri Lankan Wildlife Department. The elephant orphanage consists of 89 horns and 53 females. There are also elephant teak statues, souvenir shops and shops selling ivory paper. Elephant Paper Making is an industry in Sri Lanka. The entrance fee for the Elephant Orphanage is 600 Sri Lankan rupees. The entrance time is from 8.30 am to 6.30 pm. Other times are breakfast at 9.15 am, bath at 10:15 am, return at 12 am.
