Sigiriya Rock is an ancient rock fortress located in the Matale District of Dambulla, Sri Lanka. Since 1982, the ancient city of Sigiriya has been one of the world’s cultural heritage sites. The rock is said to have been built by King Kashyap during the reign of King A, D 477 and 495 and ruled over the country. The remains of the fort and the remains of the fort are worth a visit.
