If you go 5 K, M from Gregory Lake on the right road in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka, you can see the Sita Temple related to the Ramayana story. It is believed that Sita Devi, who lived in the Ashoka forest, bathed in the river and prayed for deliverance from Ravana. It is a small temple. The forest on the opposite side of the temple is also believed to be Ashoka.
