The Iringol Kavu is located on the Aluva – Munnar road in Perumbavoor in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, India. It is 5 km from Perumbavoor, 20 km from Aluva railway station and 17 km from Nedumbassery airport. The Iringol Forest is located on 50 acres of land. It is home to 49 endangered and rare species, 44 species of birds, moths, reptiles, amphibians, 19 species of spiders, 42 species of insects and 5 species of mammals. Iringol Kavu is a famous temple located inside the forest. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga. The temple is located in the southwest of the forest. It includes the shrine, the Namaskara Mandapam, the Agra Mandapam, the great sacrifice and the Liturgy.
