You can also see the Shiva Temple near the hot spring. It is one of the 51 Shakti Pithas which are dedicated to Adi Shakti and one of the major pilgrim centers of Hindus. The temple stands on the banks of River Bakreshwar and Paaphra River. Apart from Bakreshwar Shiva Linga, there are 108 Shiva lingas and 7 hot water springs in this place. The Shakti Pitha is in the Birbhum District of West Bengal and is 240 km away from Kolkata. From Howrah, Suri or Ahmedpur Station can be reached by Mayurakshi Express, and from there, it is 24 km or Bakreshwar -Bolpur 45 km, 65 km from Rampurhat by road.
