By English Church Or St.Johns Anglican Church is situated behind the Thalassery fort in Kannur district in Kerala, India. This is more than 140 years old church. It was built on the 1859-1867 period. Edward Brennan, an English philanthropist who had come to charitable works in Thalessery, is buried in the church’s cemetery. This is one of the first churches in Malabar. The Archaeology Department is renovating this historic church.
