By Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is located on the banks of the Vembanad Lake in Kottayam, Kerala, India. This bird sanctuary is a favorite haunt of migratory birds. If you walk through this before sunrise and after sunset, you can see many birds among the bamboo forests. The best time to visit is from November to February. Visiting hours are from 10 am to 6 pm. Admission is Rs 5 for adults and Rs 45 for foreigners. Guide services are available for Rs. 100 to Rs. 200 / -. Two-hour boating costs between Rs 200 and Rs 250.
