By Adavi is a major tourist spot in Konni located in the banks of Kallar River in Pathanamthitta District of Kerala. It is a beautiful place with meadows and hills on the shores of Achankovil River. Konni is famous for its elephant kraal and elephant training center. Aana kalari (martial arts) and Adavi Kuttavanchi (coracle boat) journey are included in the ecotourism project started by Kerala Tourism Development Corporation in association with the Forests and Wildlife Department. The coracle boat ride starts at around 11 km away from Adavi in Konni-Thannithodu Road. Two types of rides are there, small distance and long distance. The charge for small distance ride is Rs. 400 and the long ride costs Rs. 800. The trip is very thrilling. It becomes unforgettable as the coracle boat passes through the lush green forests. The Adavi-Konni route is 16 km away from the shore of River Kallar. Bus services are available from Konni to Adavi.
