The famous Elephant Training Centre is situated in Konni in Pathanamthitta district in Kerala, India. It is also a major tourist destination. The main attraction of this centre is the huge cage made of wood for the elephants. These are known as Elephant cages. The elephants are trained in these cages. Konni was known for its Elephant Training Centre from the ancient times. There is a complete natural history museum based on elephants. The Elephant Training Centre acts as a welfare centre also. It is a perfect place where you can see how the elephants are trained. The Elephant Safari is also a main attraction. It is limited per day, so that you need to be there before 9 am. The bowl boat ride, which comes under the Adavi eco- tourism is located near the Elephant Training Centre.
