Malayalappuzha Devi Temple is a famous temple located in Malayalappuzha, a small village in the hilly region of Achankovilar and Kallar. The temple is over a thousand years old. Makarapongala, the Pongala festival of the month of Makara, is important here. Malayalappuzha Amma is the primordial power Bhadrakali. The idol is made of hard jaggery. Malayalappuzha Devi Temple is located in Malayalappuzha Grama Panchayat, Kozhencherry Taluk, Pathanamthitta District. Under the Travancore Devaswom Board, this temple is the second most visited temple after Sabarimala. The foundation of this centuries-old temple is the faith and prayers of the devotees. The temple is open for darshan from 5 AM to 1 PM and in the evening 5 PM to 8 PM.
