Kuttaalam Falls is a popular destination for tourists and a holy place for pilgrims. Courtallam is located at an elevation of 450 ft in the Western_Ghats. Kuttaalam is located at a distance of 56 km from Tirunelveli. The ancient Shiva Temple dates back to the reign of the Chola King Rajaraja Chola. The original idol belongs to Lord Shiva. Kuttaalam is home to nine waterfalls, namely Peraruvi, Chittaruvi, Thenaruvi, Puli Aruvi, Old Kuttaalam and Chembaka Devi.
