Kuttaalam is located at a distance of 56 km from Tirunelveli. The ancient Shiva Temple dates back to the reign of the Chola King Rajaraja Chola. The original idol belongs to Lord Shiva. Kuttaalam is home to nine waterfalls, namely Peraruvi, Chittaruvi, Thenaruvi, Puli Aruvi, Old Kuttaalam and Chembaka Devi.
