Aruvikkuzhi is a beautiful place in Chellarkovil of Chakkupallam panchayathu in Idukki district. It is the border area of Kerala and Tamilnadu. Aruvikkuzhi water falls is the main attraction of this place. A scenic view of agricultural lands of Theni district and kambam is another attraction of the place. This place is developed by the Government of Kerala under DTPC. The first stage of the development is over and the place is open for the public. In this place treetop huts are available as a part of ecotourism promotion. It is the right place for relax your mind and body, enjoy the beauty of nature. Chellarkovil is a sleepy little village with its breathtaking view of the plains and cascading waterfalls. Chellarkovil is visited by tourists from all over the world for its scenic view with thick green forests, unique landscape a cascade of waterfall that originates in Kerala and ends at Tamil Nadu.There are a number of ecotourism projects that have been launched in this place including pathways, huts, herbariums and a watch tower.The income generated from these projects are used for environment protection programs and for forest conservation. After the visit to Chellarkovil, you can explore other activities like jungle safari, visit the Kannagi temple, have a drizzle at Suruli waterfalls, enjoy an elephant ride, have a ride in a bullock cart or visit the tribal heritage museum.
