By Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is located near Marayur in Devikulam Taluk, Idukki District of the state of Kerala, India. Chinnar is the only rainforest in Kerala which has a low rainfall. There are many trekking routes in Chinnar, one hour long river trekking, towel trekking, wildlife trekking and night camping. Vasarapara Trekking is one of the most popular trekking activities in the region. Vasarapara Trekking is about 7 k m through the jungle filled with pampar, Champakkara tribal colony, cactus, rock clumps, shrubs, exotic species and various species of trees.
