The Golden Temple, also known as the Cave Temple, is situated in Dhabula, in the heart of central Sri Lanka. Going up 100 steps to the left of the main building, the Golden Temple is a complex of 157 statues of Buddha statues, Buddha statues, and statues in five caves beneath a vast rock. The rock has been carved into five spacious caves. Buddhist history is written in brahmi script on the front of the first cave. On top of all the caves, there are beautiful paintings of Lord Buddha, many gods, dragons and flowers.
