By Courtallam Falls is located in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu after Aryankavu, between Tenkasi and Red Fort. There are several other waterfalls in the vicinity of the Courtallam main waterfall. This place is also known as the Health Bathing Ground of the South. Courtallam is famous for its beautiful waterfalls and adjoining streams. There are about nine waterfalls here. All these waterfalls originate from the Pothigai Hills in the Western Ghats at an elevation of 520 ft above sea level. The water here is believed to have many medicinal properties as it comes from the forest. That is why people come here even from far and wide.
