By The Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is located on the eastern side of the Vembanad Lake in Kerala and is spread over 14 acres. There are hundreds of different species of birds. Kumarakom is located in Kottayam district in the state of Kerala, India. The best time to visit this place is between the months of June and August. Bird watchers can see more than 100 species of birds if they go to the nearby areas such as Poothappandi Lake, Narakathara, Kaipuzha Mutt, Pathiramanal, Nalli thousand backwaters. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is one of the most famous bird sanctuaries in Kerala.
