By Vazhani Dam is a clay dam built across the Wadakkancherry river near Wadakkancherry in Thrissur district of Kerala. The dam is located at a distance of 9 km from Vadakkancherry town. The perfect place to spend an evening. There is also a beautiful suspension bridge at the headwaters of the dam. It is very beautifully preserved. The dam is one of the major tourist attractions of Thrissur district. The water from the dam is mainly used for paddy cultivation and drinking water. The area adjacent to the dam is Peechi and Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary.
