By This time the journey is to Manammutty Medu at Vallakkadavu in Periyar Tiger Reserve. Manam Mutti Mead is located near the Vallakkadavu check post on the Gavi Pathanamthitta route from Vandiperiyar in Idukki district of Kerala. It takes about an hour of trekking to reach the top of the ridge. When we reach the top we can see the beautiful view of the natural environment. Mullaperiyar Dam and almost all parts of Gavi can be seen from the top of Medu. Trekking packages from the Forest Department are available to visit Manam Mutti Medu. The views from the top of the hill are breathtaking. Distant view of Mullaperiyar Dam on one side. On the other hand, the lush greenery of the dense forest. In the distance, hills and clouds form the boundaries of the forest. The view of the hills is shrouded in fog. All these sights were a feast for the eyes.
