Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple – Maha Shivaratri View – 2021
Ettumanoor Mahadeva temple is an ancient Shiva temple in Kottayam, Kerala, India. Temple tradition has it that the Pandavas and the sage Vyasa had worshipped at this temple. The present idol here is the almighty Siva. temple constructed in the sixteenth century A.D. Sastha, Ganapaty and Dakshinamurte are the sub-idols of this temple. Ettumanor Mahadeva temple is one among the 108 Shivalayas created by Lord Parasurama. It is said that Shivratri is the amalgamation of two strong forces in the universe is Shiva and Goddess Shakti. Shiva is known as the God of death and Goddess Shakti as a power who vanishes evil powers. Maha-Shivaratri 2021 is celebrated on Thursday 11th March 2021 at Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple.
